About Me

Hi, I’m Camille – thanks for bothering!

So, about me:
I’m 27 (note to self: must remember to change this every year), and I’m from Vancouver, but I live in Boston with my husband. I used to have a site where I talked about my life, but I gave it up after 9 years because there was nothing interesting left to say and nobody left to be interested in it. So this one’s just food.

My grand overarching premise, and maybe motto, if you want, is “lousy photos, good food.” I like a good photo as much as the next person, but I’m not going to place taking one above eating the food – above eating the food with the person or people I made it for! If taking a good photo means spending forever, letting the food get cold, making fake little setups with it, and generally relegating the actual enjoyment of the food to a secondary role, then who cares about a good photo? The point of food is to eat it, to share it, and to enjoy it. And if I have money to spend on this hobby, I’ll spend it on cooking gear, not photo gear. So the pictures might not be perfect, but believe what I say about the food!

In conclusion, here is an old, blurry picture, taken in our old apartment, of me snuggling my KitchenAid:

I would be glad to send you some of our avocado chips, let me know where. I was looking at your red pepper Romesco dip, I will include some of our Red Pepper Baked Hummus Chips, sounds like a perfect combination.
